INNOVAFUN in Sweden

From February 27^th to March 1^st 2007, four INNOVAFUN network workshops were organized in Sweden with local companies. The workshops combined also training sessions on the funStep standard -based solution and its application. AIDIMA, the project coordinator (www.aidima.es), was in charge of giving these training sessions.

The four workshops were organized by the INNOVAFUN network’s Swedish partner DESIGN MARKET EUROPE A.B ( www.designmarket.com ) based in Stockholm, Sweden.
The company’s focus is on developing Internet tools and database applications for the building industry.

The workshop with Electrolux (www.electrolux.com ) an international appliance company, was dedicated to investigate how thefunStep XML standard can be used in all Electrolux communication with different kitchen drawing programs. It was as well demonstrated how funStep can be utilized in the communications between the company and its retailers around the world.

Two kitchen drawing programs PLANIT (www.planit.nu ) and CONFIGURA (www.configura.com) were featured at a third workshop. Participants showed much interest in implementing the funStep standard to exchange data catalogue information.

Two other fruitful meetings were held with MATRIX, a supplier of architectural services in visualization and 3D modeling(www.matrixcorp.com) and BYTEBRIGADE, a Swedish web consultancy(www.bytebrigade.se).

The event in Sweden can be considered as a starting point for the dissemination and implementation of the funStep standard solutions.
